We arrived into town late afternoon yesterday and needed dinner. The spot we intended to go to was packed so we decided to just get some food from the grocery store ( Food Lion).
We pulled in ready to have an at home meal when we spotted a Mexican restaurant right next to the grocery store. We thought well let's just stop in and check it out.
We were warmly greeted by everyone. The place was colorful from the chairs to the fun murals on the walls. We were lucky and got seated right away. The place was buzzing!!
They brought us chips and salsa right away. The salsa was the BEST either of us has ever had. Trust me we have been many places and this was authentic and delicious!!
We both ordered Camorones al mojos and Grande special. The grande special was two plates!!! It was a sampling of different Mexican delights and ended up to be half boxed up for a delicious lunch today. Again the food was very authentic and seasoned to perfection.
Our service was outstanding. Everyone was very friendly and took great care in giving us what turned out to be a really great meal and experience!!! -

Tucked between a grocery store and a gift shop, you'll find La Ceiva (I still don't know what the name signifies). This small restaurant leaves a big impression. The decor is festive and whimsical. The service is excellent--polite, accommodating, and prompt. The chips and salsa (complimentary) were fresh and tasty. I loved the chunky, well-spiced salsa. They have a large menu, but it's not overwhelming. My party had the choripollo (the chorizo was perfectly cooked, but the chicken was slightly over) and alambres texanos. Both were delicious. Did I mention the water? It's excellent. Some other restaurants on the island have a yellowish water that tastes of plastic. Not here. Pure perfection.
Overall, give these guys a shot. -

Looked like such a fun place and we were excited to try the food! Online and store signs said they opened at 11, so we were surprised to find it closed at 11:15 when we arrived. We called and were told it would open at 11:45, which was tough because the kids were hungry already. We decided to hold out and went to the gift store next door to pass the time. At 11:30 my husband went just to check and found the restaurant open! We checked out and headed over but by the time we got there the door was locked again and lights were out. Weird. He called to ask what was up and got hung up on. We waiting till 11:47 and I called again and got hung up on. I really wish we'd just known from the beginning that the place wouldn't be opening till much later. Hoping to find something good in Morehead.

Decided to try this place based on Yelp reviews. We were seated promptly, and the restaurant had about 4-5 tables filled. The salsa was chunky but flavorless and the chips tasted horrible (like they were received in old grease and some were mushy )
It took about 10 minutes to get 3 waters and 10 min after for our order to be taken.
We ordered chicken quesadillas and the mix and match tacos carne asada and carnitas.
The tacos came with 2 sauces, onions, cilantro, and pick de Gallo.
The food was pretty good, but overpriced.
I would not come here again. -

Good prices! Very comfortable place to eat. I ordered Hawaiian fajitas. Served on a pineapple with chunks of pineapple. Very good taste. Horchata water was excellent.
Good place. Good food. Clean.
